In mid-September 2010, 29 young, aspiring athletes from India arrived on the grounds of IMG Academies to begin a year of growth and training among world class coaches, facilities, programs and sports camps. They are the first group of students to benefit from the IMG Reliance Scholarship Program. The program is part of a greater initiative of IMG Reliance Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between IMG Worldwide and the India-based Reliance Industries. The U15 Indian National Soccer Team is the first official group of Indian soccer players to train together for a full year. IMG Soccer Academy Director Tom Durkin is working closely with the team. Durkin has coached at every level from youth soccer to Major League Soccer and US National Teams. Goalkeeping coach Scott Bowers and coaches Scott Dean and Keith Fulk, are also working closely with the team.
